C O L O R

wow...it has been a while since a blog post. i swear i have had so many fun groupings on the books and have been dying to share these two large wall galleries that are just full of fun and C O L O R. Two uber sweet customers to boot made these projects extra fun....more to come below....

also in other news my chevron frame finally aired on The Nate Berkus Show May the 9th. I don't think i was quite prepared for all the love and support from all my friends and family. thank you to everyone who watched it live and posted to keep me updated! it was the most exciting day in Delta Girl history and I hope there are more to come. I appreciate every "like", comment, post and view! If you didn't have a chance to see it, i have posted it on youtube here. I actually had to drive down to my sweet moms house in Grenada,MS to see it since it didn't air in Collierville. My great friend Kim made the drive with me ...{thanks kim!} Excuse my mom's proud scream and us "shushing" the kiddos ;)

On to the fun stuff....

{PROJECT #1}

Stairwell for Anna: this is was sweet girl that actually went to the same college as me so i consider a "delta girl". She has lots of oranges and blues and hints of green with white stairwell trims and dark floors. we wanted two use 4 colors and she didn't want any solids so we really explored all the pattern with mixes of a all colors.

{PROJECT #2:}

A Hallway for Keisha: Keisha is a COLOR girl and I LOVE a color girl! I can not even tell you how fabulous her home is. She sent me pics of her home for inspiration and her taste is beyond exciting, so i knew this would be a once in a lifetime project. She is actually going to frame some black and white fabrics, metal and other eclectic objects and use some as photo boxes. She was kind enough to snap this iPhone pic after she received them. i swear i need to make a trip to Cali to see them in real life......i can expense that right????

hope you enjoyed these groupings and i hope they inspiration!cheers!

new neutrals..

another fun mud room project complete. Thanks Genevia...what a great grouping!
These no fail neutrals can go anywhere in your home. We did a cotton beige, taupes and vintage cream with touches of grey. I really love the grey in there... it adds a touch of a modern feel to me. These are 8 frames in a variety of sizing and covers a space well. email for more info! I just listed them on etsy this morning. ciao!

fretwork

ok if you know Kelly Wearstler fabrics like me and you are completely obsessed with fretwork inspired ones as i am, finally i have the frame we have been longing for. I found the perfect wallpaper inspired pattern and wha-la! This pattern works simply on the 8" wood with an 8"x 8" opening with embossed trim. That brings me to the next new delta girl option...gold glazing. I have always used a dark glaze to really give trims and frames a vintage look but now on top of that i can do gold glazing. Metallics are everywhere right now and it really gives the frame that extra jazz...thoughts???? enjoy!

oh Ben i love your paint colors...

i seriously have a complete obsession with Benjamin Moore paint colors...i feel i am cheating on Martha, but having such fun customers that share paint colors with me in the purpose of making frames match their decor i hit the jackpot on finding out the latest and greatest in BM paint. My newest fav actually matches my blog to a tee.....Benjamin Moore Imperial Grey. Love it with black in this new grouping of 4 8x10's...fabulous...Happy Mardi Gras!

Missoni bedding and Nate!

a super fun ole miss alum Chenoa contacted me about doing some frames for her chic mod baby boy nursery. we wanted to use the color in his Missoni zigzag bedding and his walls were grey, so we went with Man Cave from Valspar and a Orange from them as well (I'm drawing a blank on the name!) she wanted a rectangle shaped group with 6 -8x10 frames and we wanted all different looks: mod and boyish. well her taste is amazing and we saw a cake idea on Pinterest that made us think to do the multi color chevron and its my personal fav! enjoy and feel free to "pin" away!
 6-8x10 frames the set is $635

Oh and side note of complete and utter excitement!!!!! I was contacted by a producer from the Nate Berkus Show this past week to feature a frame of mine in an upcoming segment on distressed furniture and accents.  ok after i passed out  and hyperventilated front the sheer shock i said yes....the frame had to be overnighted and ready for the taping today! well they got the 1st one on Monday and it was a little too large for the sofa table so i had to make another one and overnight it ASAP...whewww...sweat was dripping off my brow as i left fedex on Tuesday and just held my breath until I heard from Lori today and it went off with out a hitch! It will air sometime in May and I will keep y'all up to date as soon as i know an air date! I can't wait to see it. They asked for a description of my distressing process and will detail about that on the show as well.....eeekkkkkk.....squeeellllll!
